MAY WANG RECEIVES THE PRESIDENT'S GOLD VOLUNTEER SERVICE AWARD
On March 10, 2023, May Wang received the President’s Gold Volunteer Service Award, a civil honor bestowed by the President of the United States in recognition of more than 500 hours of outstanding volunteer contribution to the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community.
Chiling Tong and Joel Szabat, co-founders of the International Leadership Foundation (ILF), presented the award, which was significant in that the ILF cultivates civic-minded future AAPI leaders. Representatives Al Green (TX-D) and Judy Chu (CA-D) — the first Chinese American woman elected to Congress — were also present.
